what is it about love that makes us so stupid?

Today, like so many other days I feel sick and tired of the stupid feeling called love,
this feeling in modern life is not worth it at all, no one is a 100% compromised with it, all is just
''sex á la carte'', 3 or 2 hrs relationships, or a small flirt that means you have to give yourself away in a silver plate for this horny generation and even worst those will lose any interest on you if you prentend to mention that you want to get to know each other and wait before something with more intimacy. and after that they will just go away without giving a damn about the others feelings. PLEASE don't get me wrong, I am not trying to play the victim in here but seems like I am surrounded every where for this kind of people, why can't I stop falling in love for the players/heartbreakers?.

I'm taking back what I give away, hating love, it's all the same... (Like Tina Parol's song like rain :( )
